Biography

I grew up in the rich black soil of eastern North Dakota, where I attend Mayville State College and earned two degrees. Since graduating, I have certified as an EA and a CPA. I have held various positions as a self- employed entrepreneur, government service, and finally as a VP in a CPA firm where I retired after 30 years.

As a VP my duties included accounting, tax preparation, long-term tax and retirement strategies, and overseeing software and tax positions within the firm. In addition, I wrote training and procedure courses, published articles, and performed speaking engagements for clients, which I am continuing today. I moved to Virginia in 2018 and started a small tax practice, and have since retired from tax preparation, and am now focusing on tax consulting and education.
